We're easily bored. Bored of the sameness, everything tastes alike and looks alike. All chocolate chips and oatmeal, as though they're the only approved flavors. So we went a different way. We baked a hot cookie, with chillies, peppercorns and star anise and a whole bunch of spices that produces a cookie that's magically sweet, savory and spicy all at once.
